Gonzalo is Founding Partner of [BA+AE] and has over thirty years of professional experience.
He earned a B.A. in Economics with High Honors from the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico (ITAM), and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government as a Fulbright Scholar, a Harvard Fellow, and a Ford Foundation Scholar.
In the private sector he started as Associate at McKinsey & Company, and was later Partner at the Economic Consulting Practice of SAI Consultores (SAI Law & Economics) for a long period.
In the public sector, he worked at the Bank of Mexico, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Interior, and at today’s Ministry of the Economy of the Mexican federal government.
In academia he was the Director of the Master’s in Public Policy Program at ITAM, where he was also Full-time Professor as well as Researcher at the Center for Competitiveness Studies. He also taught public policy at El Colegio de México.
